Personal finance, without the noise
Track
every cent.
Chump Change brings your accounts, spending, bills and investments into one calm place, so you always know where your money went and what's coming next.
Invite-only for now. No ads, no tracking, and your data is never sold.
Everything in one place
Checking, savings, cards, loans, investments, property and vehicles together, with net worth charted over time.
Know what's coming
Bills and subscriptions found automatically, with due dates and what they cost each month.
Stay in control
Monthly budgets, a pace line that says if you're ahead, and findings that point out what needs a look.
What it does
The whole picture, none of the spreadsheet
Today at a glance
Your month so far against your plan, whether you're ahead or behind pace, and the few things that need a look. Open it, know where you stand, close it.
Budgets that talk back
Set a monthly limit for any category. Rings show how much is left, and a gentle warning appears before you go over, not after.
Bills and subscriptions, found for you
Recurring payments are detected from your history, with the next due date and what they add up to each month. Price increases and new subscriptions get flagged.
Net worth, honestly
Checking, savings, cards, loans, even your house and car in one number, charted over time. Debts count as debts.
Investments, explained
Holdings and how they're mixed, performance as both time-weighted and money-weighted returns, and realized gains by year, with estimated figures clearly marked.
Reports that answer questions
Spending by category and vendor, cash flow, trends, and an annual review. Compare any period with the last one.
Find and fix anything
Search every transaction, recategorize one or a hundred at once, and Chump Change remembers your choice for that vendor from then on.
Built for households
Give transactions an owner, so you can see whose spending is whose without splitting your accounts.
Coming soon The iPhone app: the same screens as the website, with Face ID lock and, soon, alerts for bills due and anything that needs attention.
How it works
From your bank to a clear picture in three steps
Connect your accounts
Link your banks, cards and investment accounts securely through Plaid. Chump Change can only read; it can never move money.
It sorts everything
Transactions are categorized, bills and subscriptions are spotted, and your balances and net worth are tracked every day.
Know where you stand
See the month at a glance, get a heads-up on what's due, and dig into the details whenever you want.
Security and privacy
Your money is personal. We treat it that way.
Your data stays yours
Every account is kept apart from every other in the database itself. The administrator can manage accounts, but there is no screen or API that shows anyone else's balances or transactions.
Two-step sign-in, always
A password and an authenticator code are required for every account. There's no way to turn it off.
Secrets stay encrypted
Your bank connection keys and tokens are encrypted before they're stored, and bank passwords never touch Chump Change at all.
No ads. No tracking. Never sold.
No analytics scripts, no advertising, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing. It's used only to show you your own finances.
Take it or delete it, any time
Download everything in your account, or delete your account and every bit of data, yourself, whenever you like.
Invite-only
Accounts are created by invitation, so you know exactly who else is on the same server.

Questions
Good to know
Who can sign up?
Chump Change is invite-only for now. If you'd like to try it, ask for an invite below, or log in if you already have an account.
Which banks does it work with?
It connects through Plaid, which supports thousands of US banks, credit unions, card issuers and brokerages. More connection options are planned.
Can it move my money or see my bank password?
No. Connections are read-only, and you sign in to your bank on Plaid's own screen, so your bank password is never seen or stored by Chump Change.
Is there an iPhone app?
Yes, it's being tested and isn't public yet. It has the same screens as the website plus a Face ID lock, and alerts for bills and anything that needs attention are planned.
Where does my data live?
On a private server run by the person who runs Chump Change, in a database that keeps each person's data separate. It isn't handed to third parties, except Plaid to fetch your accounts.
Ready to see where it all goes?
Chump Change is invite-only while it grows. Ask the person who invited you, or log in if you already have an account.
